What's new in Internet Banking?

We've recently made some improvements to our Internet Banking service to make banking with us even easier. You can now:

Change your contact details online

  • Update your address, landline telephone number and email
  • We'll verify your request via a text to your registered mobile number
  • If you need to update your mobile number please visit any branch or call us on 01228 403141

Register for and receive new user alerts

  • New alerts include secure messages, payments processed and payments deleted
  • Alerts can now be received via text, email or secure message

Apply online for savings accounts

  • Customers can apply for a range of savings accounts direct from Internet Banking
  • Please note, eligibility criteria and T&Cs apply. This service isn’t available for business only customers, trustees or attorneys.

  • How do I register for Internet Banking?

    Call us

    If you're an existing Cumberland current account customer who would like to register for Internet Banking, please call our Customer Service Team on 01228 403 141.

    Visit us in branch

    You can also pop into any branch and a member of the team will be happy to help you register. Remember, if you opened your account in branch, you may have already opted in for Internet Banking.

  • I've forgotten my Internet Banking log in details, what do I do?

    Forgotten User Name

    You can find your original User Name (referred to as your Customer Number) in the welcome email or letter which was sent to you when you opened your current account. If you have since changed it, please call our Customer Service Team on 01228 403 141.

    If you use our Mobile Banking app, you can find your User Name next to your name on the main menu screen. Otherwise please call our Customer Service Team on 01228 403 141.

    Forgotten Access Code

    You can reset your Access Code by selecting the link on the logon page. Otherwise please call our Customer Service Team on 01228 403 141.

    Forgotten Memorable Word

    If you have forgotten your Memorable Word, please call our Customer Service Team on 01228 403 141.

    Access Suspended

    If your access to Internet Banking has been suspended, please call our Customer Service Team on 01228 403 141.

  • How do I change my Internet Banking User Name?

    You can change your Internet Banking User Name to something easier to remember. Simply log on to Internet Banking and select 'Other Services > Change User Name' from the main menu.
