The journey of finding and buying your forever home, or moving from your first to your second home, can be a tough one. Research shows that on average people move house just twice before settling on ‘the one’ – with a trend towards extending and redecorating rather than selling due to rising house prices and concerns around the stress of moving.
One person who has found – and started renovating – her forever home is Alex Ridley who lives in Carlisle, Cumbria. We met up with Alex to chat about her journey as a second time buyer and what led her to purchasing the ‘1970s dream home’ (in her words!) that she’s currently renovating with her husband.
Join us as we take a behind-the-scenes tour of Alex’s home and get an insight into what it’s really like to be a second time buyer and take on a major renovation project.
