Cumbria is a diverse area in terms of both locations and properties – as you probably already know, if you live here or you’ve started your property search!

In the East, pretty towns such as Appleby in Westmorland offer easy access to Yorkshire and beyond. • Over the past year, most of the sales in Cumbria were terraced properties which sold for £145,944 on average. Semi-detached properties had an average sold price of £196,249 and detached properties averaged at £355,775.
• The most expensive area within Cumbria was Coniston (£608,222) and the cheapest was Moor Row (£90,168).
• Cumbria, with an overall average price of £212,885, was similar in terms of sold prices to Merseyside (£209,816), but was more expensive than Lancashire (£197,584)
• In the past year, house prices in Cumbria were similar to the year before and 8% up on 2019 when they averaged at £197,642.
