Projects helping tackle food poverty in Cumbria say they have been given a massive boost by The Cumberland’s Kinder Kind of Kitchens initiative.

The building society last month announced it was giving £250,000 to over 30 projects run by FareShare Lancashire and Cumbria. The money is already benefiting those who are experiencing food poverty, including the Oasis Food Pantry in Carlisle and The Well Communities in Barrow.
