Whilst the minimum age of an adult cash ISA has increased to 18, those under age 18 would still be able to open and save into a Cumberland Cash Junior ISA from 6 April 2024.
You must be at least 18 years of age to open a Cumberland adult Cash ISA.
Yes, anyone who is aged 16 or 17 who holds an existing cash ISA before 6 April 2024 can continue to subscribe to it or transfer to another cash ISA provider (subject to the ISA provider accepting ISA transfers for those aged 16 or 17).
If you are aged 16 or 17 and already hold an existing Cumberland Cash ISA prior to 6 April 2024, you could transfer funds into your existing Cumberland Cash ISA from another provider.
If you are aged 16 or 17 after 6 April 2024 and do not already hold an existing Cumberland Cash ISA then you would not be able to open a new Cumberland Cash ISA to transfer funds in
No, you will only be able to pay into one Cumberland Cash ISA during the tax year. This does not restrict your ability to open/pay into another Cash ISA with another provider (subject to total maximum deposits of £20,000 across all providers in the tax year)

No. You will need to be aware of your own ISA limit and the total amount you have invested during the tax year across your chosen ISA providers.
The Cumberland will only be able to monitor how much you have subscribed to your Cumberland Cash ISA during the current tax year.
No, we currently do not accept partial transfers of current year’s ISA subscriptions into Cumberland cash ISAs. You may only transfer:

No, you will no longer need to complete an application form to deposit funds into an existing cash ISA which you have not made payments into for a full tax year.

The 2024/2025 ISA allowance is either £20,000 for a cash ISA or £9,000 for a Junior ISA.
